Amazon.com has let go of dozens of Resource and Demand and manufacturing staff from its delivery drone project, Amazon Prime Air, according to the Financial Times.

The company has come up with unconfirmed deals with a couple of external manufacturers in order to develop the material parts for the company’s drone.

The deal has yet to be finalised with FACC Aerospace in Austria and Aernnova Aerospace in Spain, a source told FT.

According to the chief executive officer of the worldwide consumer business at Amazon, Jeff Wilke, the drones will be made available within a few months.
