It has been reported that Amazon will be allowing its corporate employees to work from home through to June next year during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“We continue to prioritize the health of our employees and follow local government guidance. Employees who work in a role that can effectively be done from home are welcome to do so until June 30, 2021,” a spokesperson from Amazon told Bloomberg.
A lot of companies have also been making this move as Microsoft has also revealed its plans to adopt a “hybrid workplace” environment where a majority of roles continue to be remote less than 50% of the time with manager approval, even once the pandemic is over.
Alphabet, Google’s parent company also revealed that it would be allowing its staff to work remotely up until July 2021. Facebook and Twitter have given their employees the option to work from home even once the pandemic is over.
