Facebook has put out support for Zoom and Netflix on its Portal platform. This new application will be a part of various services like Amazon Prime Video, Showtime and Sling TV which had already been released on Portal TV. In all the countries where Portal is sold by Facebook, the new app will be made available.

Facebook said in a post that, “Whether you’re catching up with friends, collaborating with coworkers, or sharing a bedtime story with grandparents, Portal helps you stay connected with the people you care about. And now, we’re adding Netflix, Zoom on Portal for working remotely and connecting with friends, new titles in our Story Time library, and more.”

A new remote will also be released which will include one-touch buttons in order to access these apps with ease. This remote will be bundled along with Portal TV and can purchase the new package from the official Portal website, by Facebook which will be made available in the next few weeks.

Facebook believes that Zoom users will be able to get more out of Portal during their meetings and this video conferencing app will be accessible on Portal Mini, Portal, and Portal+ as well.

Other than Netflix and Zoom, the social networking giant’s Story Time library will also be receiving an expansion on Portal and new AR filters will be brought on to Photobooth as well.
