Italy’s antitrust authority has fined Apple with 10 million euros ($23 million) for “aggressive and misleading” commercial practices when it comes to the company’s iPhones.

The authority said that in the advertisements, there were many iPhone versions that had been modelled as water-resistant products without clearing up that this was only true in particular situations.

The statement by the regulator also mentioned that the devices had not been covered by warranty in the case of damage caused by liquids, which deceived the clients, who had also not been given support for the spoilt devices.

Apple has yet to comment on this issue.
