For end-users, Microsoft has started releasing the Windows 10 May 2020 update. Originally the update was only available through the Windows Insider Program in April this year. A lot of new features also come along with this new update as well as some upgrades to the existing ones.
Some of the new and improved features include:
Gaming: Microsoft released support for DirectX Ultimate which will help provide smoother graphics that won’t affect the frame rate. Third-party widgets have also had support added in the Xbox Game Bar.
Browsing: According to Microsoft, Edge browser is the first Win32 app that will take advantage of the segment heap abilities. Because of this, the browser will only take up a limited amount of memory compared to before. This update helps it lessen its memory usage up to 27%.
Cortana: A better chat-based interface has been included in the digital assistant. Users will be able to have the choice or speaking or typing out commands or queries to get a response from Cortana.
Your Phone: Along with the Windows 10 May 2020 Update, the tech giant has also included Your Phone’s Call feature to ARM-based PCs. This enables ARM users to reply to incoming calls to your Android phone straight through PC. You will also be able to check notifications and have access to your gallery on the PC by using the Your Phone app.
