The Digital Transformation Agency has disclosed its plans to add a new categorization for providing Service Integration and Management (SIAM) capabilities and services to its digital marketplace. 

SIAM will help to resource and manage the operations of huge, complicated and multi-sourced IT communications, infrastructure and enterprise systems.

This is a different way of proceeding to system integration, and different from ITIL from IT service management, and project management’s PRINCE2, SIAM is not a framework.

SIAM is mostly executed in line with proprietary models created by prime IT providers and system integrators such as IBM, Accenture, DXC and others, and should meet particular demands created by third-party advisors such as Gartner and KPMG.

The DTA made a discussion paper as well as a plea for information (RFI) open for the whole-of-government panels. 

The documents said, “The DTA is seeking industry views and feedback on the attached discussion paper and request for information for this new service category.” 

It is expected for the new SIAM category to go live starting in December this year, after RFI shuts on the 2nd of November 2020.
