VMware and Renewtrak, Australia’s renewals-as-a-service provider, have partnered up to offer its channel partners a platform in order to automate contract renewals.

The platform will be focusing on helping VMware partners and customers to streamline and make it easier to renew their contracts which are estimated at less than $10,000.

It is a similar deal that had been announced before with storage vendor StorageCraft, along with Renewtrak supplying automation services as well as other tools for StorageCraft partners.

Mathew Cagney, Renewtrak chief executive talked about the business moving aside quickly from conventional license models, so the B2B renewals process requires an update because of the ten-fold rise in transaction volumes because of the transfer to warranty, consumption and subscription models.

“Some organisations are expecting partner transaction volumes to increase by up to 50 per cent annually, and with that comes a need to not just automate the process, but make it easier for a partner’s customer to self-service and manage easily.

“VMWare’s platform will allow them to deliver that seamless experience their customers want while freeing up staff to deliver on high-value tasks that customers need,” Cagney said.
